Look who wants a forever home!:

Marigold is a stunning tabby lady who is being fostered along with her sister, Daisy. Marigold is a bit shyer with people than her sister and took a few days longer to warm up to her foster mom. However, she really went all in when she decided to let her new mom love her. She has a beautiful, deep, melodic meow and enjoys having conversations with her foster mom. She and her sister, Daisy, love each other and love their foster mom, following her wherever she goes in the house. They both love running water and enjoy a drink and a chance to play in the bathroom sink. Though shyer than her sister, don’t be fooled, Marigold is the queen of the cats, and Daisy follows her lead.   Contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Daisy is a special tabby lady who is being fostered along with her sister, Marigold. Daisy has a pretty, unique smile due to some crooked teeth. She loves to play with string teaser toys and she is an aerial artist! She can jump very high, performing twists and flips to catch the feather on the string. She likes very gentle pets and sometimes gets edgy and will gently nip you if you aren’t petting her the way she likes. For this reason, she should probably go to a home with adults and older children. She and her sister, Marigold, love each other and love their foster mom, following her wherever she goes in the house. They both love running water and enjoy a drink and a chance to play in the bathroom sink. Contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Contessa is about a year old (Nov 2022), a white-with-gray-spots spayed female who is quite sweet.  She is quiet and gentle. This girl has potential to be the center of someone's universe. She is absolutely a heart-stealer. She is good with other cats, unknown with dogs & children. She is vaccinated, FIV/FELV-tested, microchipped, & litter-box-trained. Contact Kerry at ((520) 227-4735.

Scarlet is a young adult, tortoiseshell spayed female who was brought in with a litter of kittens and when they went on to be adopted, she became a surrogate mother to three orphans and took very good care of them when she was barely more than a kitten herself. Now that her mothering duties are over, she is all about playing and goes wild with all kinds of different toys. She is also gentle and loving, very sweet. She gets along with other cats, unknown with dogs and children. She is vaccinated, FIV/FELV-tested, microchipped, and litter-box-trained. Contact Kerry at (520) 227-4735.

Bernadette is a young adult tortoiseshell spayed female who is incredibly affectionate, sweet, and loving. She was not always like this, as she came from a horrible hoarding situation where she was living in an unbelievably filthy trailer with many other cats. She was one of the last to be rescued, and was found with a litter of kittens under a dilapidated couch. Since the cats were starving, the kittens did not survive, but Bernadette was brought into foster care with the others. At first she was terrified and did not like anyone except one caregiver, but loving care worked a miracle and Bernadette became very outgoing and especially affectionate toward everyone she met! No one could believe the change in her! She gets along great with other cats, and although she has not met any dogs or children, she would probably do well with them too. She is vaccinated, FIV/FELV-tested, microchipped, and litter-box-trained. Contact Kerry at (520) 227-4735.

Meet Lettie and Baker!

Lettie and Baker are a bonded pair who need to be adopted together.  Lettie is very sweet but a bit shy girl. She a kind kitty that gets along with everyone. She has been tested for FIV and feline leukemia and she is microchipped. Baker (dob 9/15/17) is a big boy who will melt your heart!  He loves laying on the sofa getting loved on.  Baker can afford to lose a few pounds to prevent him from becoming diabetic, but his blood work is currently showing him to be a super healthy boy. Baker is neutered, current on FVRCP & Rabies, tested negative for Leukemia & FIV, has a clean bill of health with his bloodwork, and is microchipped. Contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]     (picture below:  Lettie and Baker, best of friends!)

Mokey is a 10 yo, fixed cat whose momma had to go into assisted living. He was a great companion to her. Mokey is a blue cat with white toes in front, white socks on on back, a white bib and belly. He only eats soft food due to an overbite

His best friend, Houdi (do not have to go together), is an indoor/outdoor cat that is a good hunter. She often comes inside for the night. She is 10 yo and spayed. Houdi is all black with yellow eyes

Also needing a new home is Grumpy, an outdoor, fixed male cat approximately 14 years old. He is black and white and still a very good hunter.

BonBon

DOB: 11/15/21

DSH Buff tabby & white-F

I’m just as sweet as a BonBon! I’m still a little shy, but with love and understanding I could be your forever girl! I was living in a lumberyard getting pets and love from the employees—but they wanted a better life for me, so they asked Border Animal Rescue to help find my forever family. I’m currently being fostered in a calm home with other cats and a small dog. Since moving to this home, I have REALLY come into my own! I am more confident, loving, and sweet. I do love the companionship of other kitties, but they think I’d be ok as an only kitty, too! My foster mom says I am just a complete love and am ready for my FOREVER family! I would probably do well with older kids who can be patient as I become confident and can settle into my new place.

I am spayed, microchipped, current of FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, de-wormed, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV

For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

LENNOX:

DOB: 12/15/21

DSH Black & White tux M

Lennox and his family were living behind a local Chinese restaurant. He was so incredibly sweet—sitting on the employees laps during breaks, begging for love. Unfortunately, none of them could take him home. We were able to bring him, his brother, and his kittens into our adoption program. Mama was a wild child who wanted to live the outside life, still. We got her spayed and let her go back home. 😊 Lennox is the gentlest soul. He’s living in his foster home with his kittens and is the cutest cat-daddy you’ve ever met! He’s so snuggly and loving—he should definitely have a kitty friend at his new place. (He’d love for his forever home to adopt one of his kids once they’re big enough to be vetted). He’s a little shy at first. He’s had a lot of changes in the past couple weeks. But he’s settling into the indoor life like a pro! He likes to be pet and get booty scratches. He hasn’t proven to be a lap cat in his foster home YET, but the employees swear he is! He would do well in a calmer home where he can settle in and get adjusted without stress. Though he hasn’t been around children, we think he’d do well with older kids who will be patient with him. We think he’d be sleeping on the foot of their bed in no time! If you would like to give Daddy-of-the-Year the forever family he deserves, pick Lennox (and maybe one of his kids??)

He is neutered, microchipped, current on FVRCP & Rabies Vaccines, de-wormed and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Meet Kittatina! Kittatina is an adult. black, long-haired cat who loves to cuddle. She is current with all of her shots, de-wormed, FIV/FELV negative, micro-shipped and litter box trained.

She is very pretty and sweet-tempered. She loves to be petted and to sit on your lap.

She loves to sit in front of the window and look outside, and also likes the warmth from the sun.

She is an indoor cat, so she hasn't been around other dogs, but has been with other cats.

Her current owner had to return her to BAR because of health issues, and would love to find a loving home for her. For more information, contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

IVAN:

DOB: 8/19/22

DSH brown tabby M

Hi! I’m Ivan! My foster family says I am THE sweetest boy! I love playing with the other kittens in my home. I definitely need a playful kitty friend in my forever home (check out my buddy, Inez!) I can often be found batting a toy around and snuggling on the couch with my foster parents. I’ve grown rather fond of my foster dad (he gives THE BEST booty scratches!) Mom’s cool—but Dad’s the man. Once you lock in the booty, I will follow you all around the house begging for more! I get shy when new people come around, but seriously-scratch that butt and I’m putty in your hands! I’ve been fostered with other kitties and large cat-friendly dogs. I would do fine with respectful kids who would be patient until I get completely comfortable. I was a stray kitten living at the Prison in Douglas. The inmates really love the local kitties and are very kind to us. I had a bad kitty cold, so the inmates had a guard bring me to Border Animal Rescue! Now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to join your family!!

I am neutered, microchipped, current on FVRCP & Rabies Vaccines, de-wormed and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Deja is from a litter of 6 from a feral mom. Deja is approximately three months old and she loves being petted and held and purrs immediately but is not a lap cat. She will sit on your lap for a short time and them lay beside you. She wants to be near you but not on you. She's a very sweet kitty and gets along with other cats and has been around small dogs. She has been FIV/FELV tested, microchipped and she's litter box trained. She would love to be adopted with one of her siblings. For more information or to meet Deja text or call foster mom Dori at 520-226-5657.

Delphine is a black tabby, approximately 3 months old and very sweet. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped and she is litter box trained. She is one of 6 siblings born of a feral mom. She is not a lap cat but she will sit with you for a while and purr. Then she will want to lay beside you. She loves playing with her siblings and would love to be adopted with one of them. For more information or to meet Delphine call or text her foster mom Dori at 520-226-5657.

CELESTE (& Camille):

DOB: 7/1/22

DSH tortie-point Siamese-F

Hi there! I’m Celeste!! I was living outside with my sisters Camille & Cadence! We were pretty wild and had kitty colds. We were brought into a foster home where we received lots of love and care. I’m the middle of the road girl! I LOVE to sleep on my fosters’ bed—with or without them in it! I can usually be found cuddled in a tight ball with Camille. We really are best friends and need to go to our forever home together. I am very sweet and playful. I like my foster family but do prefer my sisters over them (but I bet that could change!)! I can be picked up and loved but get over it quickly (I AM Siamese, after all!) Our foster home is pretty busy! I get along great with all the other cats and the two large cat-friendly dogs. I’d probably do best in a quieter home where my purrsonality can really blossom and I can be the center of your world! Like Camille, I sometimes get watery eyes-remnant from being a sick kitten, but it doesn’t bother me. 😊 I would be ok with older kids who would understand that I’m not really a lap kitty (but I could be?) If you want an instant clowder, adopt all 3 of us, (adopt me and Camille, get Cadence free! ) For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

CAMILLE (& Celeste):

DOB: 7/1/22

DSH black F

Hi!! My name is Camille. I was living outside with my sisters Cadence & Celeste, and we were pretty wild and had kitty colds. We were brought into a foster home where we received lots of love and care. I’m the most outgoing and snuggly of the three of us. I can almost always be found on my foster parents’ bed (with or without them in it!) or snuggling with one of my sisters-usually Celeste. I am VERY kitty-oriented and need to be adopted with Celeste. We are just the best of friends and are always snuggling together! I enjoy getting petted and love booty scratches. I’m not a huge fan of being picked up, but my fosters think if I was in a home with fewer critters and more one-on-one attention, I’d turn into a total lovebug! I do have a watery eye that comes and goes—remnant of being a sick kitten, but it doesn’t bother me. 😊 I’ve been fostered with lots of kitties and two large cat-friendly dogs. I would probably be ok with older kids who will be ok with the fact that I’m not a lap cat (yet?). If you’re looking for the purrrrfect house-panther, I’m your girl (and don’t forget to check out my sister-Celeste!) If you want an instant clowder, adopt all three sisters! (Adopt me and Celeste, get Cadence free!)

I am spayed, microchipped, current of FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, de-wormed, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

CADENCE:

DOB: 7/1/22

DSH orange tabby F

Hello, hello! My name is Cadence! I was living outside with my sisters Celeste & Camille! We were pretty wild (I gave my foster a run for her money when she was trying to catch me) and had kitty colds. We were brought into a foster home where we received lots of love and care. I’m the most stand-off-ish of my sisters. I am so incredibly playful, though! I LOVE my sisters and would greatly appreciate going home with them. If not, I definitely must have another playful kitty to play with. I love to chase toys, play with the ribbon toys, and can be found running around chasing my sisters. My favorite place to sleep is on my foster mom’s decorative Christmas pillow (she thinks she’s putting up Christmas décor—but she better leave MY pillow!) I am not a snuggly girl—but I can probably be won over with wet food and a calmer home where I can get more one-on-one attention. 😊 I love snuggling with my sisters and have the cutest personality. I can often be seen sitting far too close to the TV watching my foster’s favorite shows! If you want a lap cat—unfortunately that’s not me. But if you want a playmate and someone to enjoy watching, I AM that girl!! If you want an instant clowder, adopt all three sisters! (Adopt Celeste and Camille, get ME free!)   I am spayed, microchipped, current of FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, de-wormed, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

DOB: 9/25/22

Sansa:

Sansa is a playful little lady! She’s very active and loves her brother, Theon. Sansa is chatty about her food and very well behaved! Sansa is good with dogs, cats, and rodent friends. Sansa would love a snuggle buddy, but one she can have time away from if she likes. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

DOB: 9/25/22

Cersei:

This little lady is very playful and silly. She loves chasing a laser pointer and snuggling with other creatures. She’s not much of a people cat, but appreciates when they give her snacks. Cersei is good with other cats, dogs, and rodent friends. She would do well in a house with other critters she can pal around with. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Theo and Leo

Theo (orange, white tabby) and Leo (orange tabby) are neutered, vaccinated. microchipped. FELV and FIV tested and litter box trained. They were found in St. David covered in engine oil. A good Samaritan found them and cleaned them up. They love to play and rough house and when you pick them up the purring begins! They are very inquisitive kittens and when they tire-out they snuggle up together for a nap. They are a very bonded pair and must be adopted together. You won't regret having the loving, entertaining little boys as a part of your family! For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Hi, I’m Ray, and I’m a cool and crazy playful dude who is a little shy. I will take some time to get used to you (and might play “catch me if you can” at first) but then will realize I like being petted by you and will purr away. Especially when it’s mealtime, since I love my food! I was born outside with my pals Brindi and Shayla, and we each have a fashionable “eartip” from our days on the street. I love other cats, I like the dogs I’ve met, and I think I would like older children. I’m about 5 months old, neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLv tested, and microchipped. For more information contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Inez

Female Kitten. My brother Indy and I were found as tiny, sick strays. Now we're big, healthy and super sweet! I'm a bit shy at first, but pick me up and I'm all purrs. I'm snuggly and I love the other kitties in my foster home. I'm used to big, cat-friendly dogs. I love to play and I would do well with older kids. Contact us at 520-432-7964 to leave a message, or email us at [email protected]

Ball

Ball is such a total lover boy! He was found living on the grounds of the Douglas prison. The inmates love the kitties and some of the guards take great care to get them vetted and find them forever homes!

Ball is so incredibly sweet. Named "Ball" because he always curls up into a little ball! He is still learning how to play and be a CAT! He has the sweetest purrrrrr motor and is so gentle. Ball loves to be smuggled and petted. He hasn't reacted to the dogs in the foster home, but is a bit nervous around the other kitties. He does seem curious about the other kitties and wants to play!

Meet Mr. Tibbles! Approx. dob: 4/18/22 He started as a kitten living on the streets. Fortunately, he and his siblings were trapped and brought into our care. Their mom was spayed and very happily returned to the home she knows! Mr. Tibbles is a sweet little boy. But due to his rough start, he will probably be a little shy at first. A patient and loving home is what he needs! He is very inquisitive. He will get active at times, especially with his brother, Ziggy! Mr. Tibbles gets along well with other cats—we are unsure how he would do with dogs. His favorite place is the top of the cat tree—he loves to admire his domain from above. Mr. Tibbles would love if he could be adopted with his bestie, Ziggy. If not, he’d probably love joining a family with another kitty to be his friend. Due to his shy nature, he might not be best with young kiddos—they don’t understand why the kitty doesn’t want to be picked up immediately.

If you feel your heart being tugged to meet Mr. Tibbles, please let us know! Mr. Tibbles is neutered, up to date on FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV, microchipped and litter box trained.

Adorable Pearl came to us when she and her siblings were days old. They were raised with so much love by their first foster mom. Her siblings were all adopted, and beautiful Pearl was left as the last baby. She had a hard time adjusting to them all getting homes. She was moved to another foster home so she could be with other kittens and cats to keep her company. Pearl can often be found sleeping on the bed with the other kitties—and is one of the first kitties to come to bed when her people are ready for sleep. She is a constant couch snuggler, too! And this girl loves to play and play then crashes like a toddler! We realize that Pearl MUST have another young kitty companion. Pearl has been fostered with kitties of all ages, and large cat-friendly dogs. We think she would love having respectful kids in her life.

She is spayed, microchipped, current on FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, de-wormed, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV.

Update:  Adopted Jan 2023

My name is Yin, but sometimes my foster mom calls me Yinifer. I am a female who is less than a year old and came from a hoarding situation in St. David. I am the sole survivor of my litter and have had a tough time getting healthy and strong enough to be adopted. I love to play with toys, hide in boxes, and wrestle with my foster siblings. I also enjoy my quiet time and personal space. I am not big on being held, but do enjoy getting loved on. I will probably be very shy at first, but food always helps me come out of my shell!  I know that I will miss my foster mom and siblings, but I know that it is time I spread my paws and soar and the strong, independent cat that I am meant to be!

Update:  Adopted Jan 2023

My name is Picara and I am a boy and am about 1 year old.  I was found on the streets of Sierra Vista as a very small and frightened kitten. I was so scared that my foster mom named me Picara because it means sassy. I can still be pretty sassy, but have calmed down quite a bit and actually have learned to enjoy getting loved on. I also love doing zoomies with my foster siblings, playing with all kinds of toys, taking siestas during the heat of the day, and of course eating! I have been socialized with a variety of cats and a couple of dogs, but am not certain of small humans yet. Could you possibly be my furever family?

Update:  Adopted Jan 2023

The name is Bond, James Bond, and I am less than a year old. I was found wandering on a farm in Hereford all by myself when I was about 4 weeks old. I have a distinctive kink in the end of my tail that just adds to my character. I love to hunt bugs, moths, and flies as well as play with all kinds of toys and hide from villains in boxes. In order to keep my energy up to rid the world of evilness. I also take my water, shaken, not stirred.

Update:  Adopted Jan 2023

Hi! My name is Betty Boop and I am less than a year old. I am a Domestic Medium Hair Diluted Tortoiseshell and am very vocal, especially at mealtime. I consider myself a diva and will allow you a few pets, but am not very fond of being held. Please do not take it personally, but I do have some trauma in my past. I am not big on playing with toys and prefer soaking up some sun in a window and allowing the world to bask in my beauty.

Update:  Adopted Dec 2022

Gorgeous Ostura will melt your heart in no time with her sweet, gentle, and inquisitive demeanor. Don’t be fooled though, she LOVES to play! It’s a joy to watch her elegant moves as she leaps for feathered toys. She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, you’ll see her blossom before eyes. She’ll sweetly greet you first thing in the morning with her soft little chirps, and she lovingly lay next to you in the evenings. Her ideal home would be calm and warm. She did well with just one other cat. When moved to a foster home with more, she became overwhelmed. She’s the whole package, and beautiful to boot. She truly is a special cat.
