Border Animal Rescue

BAR's adoptable pets are featured below and on our PETFINDER page.

We often post them on our Facebook page also:  https://www.facebook.com/Borderanimalrescue

We have many pets in foster care and will post them when they're ready for adoption. Some of our pets can be visited in the Sierra Vista PetSmart adoption center, and some can be visited at their foster homes by appointment. See each listing below for details. Our dog adoption fee is $150 and includes spay/neuter, veterinary care, microchipping, and shots.

Download our ADOPTION FORM HERE. If you meet a BAR pet at PetSmart,

you can fill out the application in the store.

Look who wants a forever home:

Poppy (aka Twiggy) is just 11 weeks old. And what a funny guy...

He loves his squeaky toys & he loves to play fetch.

He is housetrained, but too young to be neutered

He loves other dogs, as long as they aren't too huge. We do not know about cats or children

We don't know how big he will get, as he was the runt of the litter. But, his parents were Shar Pei and Great Pyreness, so he may be big. BTW- even when he is sleeping, his ears are standing up!

Poppy's rehoming fee is $75 which includes the refundable deposit for his neuter

He will come with this first set of shots, is dewormed.

Along with the adoption agreement, there will be agreement signed that he will be neutered (if not already completed at adoption.)

Meet Luna.  Luna's current family is having to find a new home for her.  Luna is 6-8 years old.  She is currently feeling stressed by the new puppy and the newborn baby, and hides to get away from the chaos and noise.  Luna is the sweetest old girl you will ever meet! She loves to snuggle and spend as much time as she can with her humans. She doesn't really play fetch or anything like that, but she loves to go on walks and be right by your side and she is great on a leash.

She just had a vet check and she is overall healthy, though os missing all of her front teeth (due to her past abuse before she was rescued) but she does have back teeth and eats a normal solid food diet. She is up to date with her shots.

She also has some stiffness in her hips, most likely arthritis due to older age, but she still loves to run around, jump, and play when she gets excited.

She is great with other dogs!  Her current owners want her to be place in the BEST home, so are in no rush to rehome her.

Please contact her family with any questions (832-580-4513).

Located in Sierra Vista.
